LET’S TAKE CARE OF OUR EARTH BY TAKING CARE OF ITS ECOSYSTEM

April 22nd marks Earth Day 2023, the 53rd anniversary of Earth Day, and America Sri Lanka Photographic Art Society Los Angeles is celebrating Earth Day 2023 at the ‘Sri Lanka in Focus” Photography Exhibitions being held at the Art Gallery of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), on April 22-23 promoting environmental conservation in the context of nature photography, with a special focus on the grandeur of Sri Lanka’s natural habitat.

Our world needs transformational change, and it is time for us the present generation to hold ourselves accountable for our role in our environmental crisis while also calling for bold, creative, and innovative solutions. This exhibition is designed to commemorate Earth Day 2023 and to support the worldwide efforts to conserve and revitalize the environment of the blue planet that is our home. If we are to succeed, we must listen to the children who will link hands from around the world and voice their concerns and ideas to preserve a pristine environment for their generation.

With that in view, we have invited two young people to address the pressing issues of the environment of our times.

Our Panelists are.

THEMI PERERA will address us from the University of California in Berkley, and
TIARA GANEGAMA, from Colombo. Sri Lanka. Themi will speak on climate change, our ecosystem, and biodiversity, while Tiara will speak on climate change, our oceans, and marine resources. #earthday2023 #EarthDay
